About This Plant
Blue Downy Clematis (Clematis macropetala) is a hardy, deciduous climbing vine known for its large lavender-blue, nodding blooms. The plant is semi-woody, grows 8-12' tall and up to 6' wide, with deeply cut medium green foliage. Flowers appear in early spring and again in summer, and decorative pinkish seed heads provide fall interest. It attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and performs best in zones 4-9 with well-draining soil. Full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil support healthy growth.
What You Will Receive
